The Boats

For people who do not go with the times a Cherubini Classic is the quintessential speedboat, a thoroughbred that combines true beauty with functionality. The speedboat models presently offered are the Classic 20 which seats five and the Classic 24 which seats nine. With the addition of lifting points either boat can serve as an elegant Yacht Tender.

These high-performance boats provide a dry ride with responsive handling. They cruise smoothly in the 35 MPH range and sprint powerfully into the 50+ MPH range. The boats are fun to drive, stable in turns and slip softly through on-coming waves. One can drive at speed with ease and confidence while providing all on board with a safe yet exhilarating ride.

Idea, Inspiration, Design

The idea was very clear – create a new production speedboat that looked like a wooden speedboat of the 1920s and 30s but with 21st century performance and (maintenance free) materials. The Inspiration came from three early manufacturers of older speedboats; Gar Wood, Chris-Craft, and Hacker Craft. The design of the new hull, particularly the bottom shape, had to incorporate the most modern thinking.

The original boats of the early 20th century were fast, but they pounded in waves and ran very wet.  The hull geometry of a Cherubini Classic provides a dry ride plus the boat is forgiving in running performance, allowing it to always trim just right no matter what the load is on board, or where its center of gravity is located.   Driving a Cherubini is like driving a Porsche with Rolls Royce suspension.
